sound and movement encounter
an atelier-concert: open creation, shared listening and movement.
what happens
A three-hour slow encounter of listening, movement, and real-time composition. We start by listening, to the body and to the situation, and let movement arise from that listening. Little by little, what we feel finds expression: in words, images, movement, or sound. Something is made in the room, and the encounter can move toward a kind of performance. The music unfolds slowly, openly, in front of the participants, and sometimes with them.
The encounter grows out of Les Concerts Silencieux, a series of silent listening concerts, and draws on Focusing (Eugene Gendlin), Deep Listening (Pauline Oliveros), and the Feldenkrais Method.
the invitation
No experience needed, in music or in movement. The encounter takes place in an intimate environment, often lit by candlelight. Settle freely: sitting, lying down, or moving. Bring a mat, something to cover yourself, a notebook, and colours. Anything else you want near you is welcome (some materials will be there).
first encounters
Autumn 2026, Montreal. Date, place, and price will be announced.
